Engage in farming- Matambo
By Masauso Mkwayaya
Copperbelt Minister ELISHA MATAMBO has asked people in the Province to engage in farming in the wake of the projected normal to above normal rainfall for 2024 -2025 rain season.
Mr. MATAMBO says Government is keen to increase production in the agriculture sector by ensuring inputs required are available and distributed to farmers who have deposited 400 Kwacha under the Farmer Input Support Programme-FISP.
He said this when he attended a Fundraising event for the construction of a modern church building at St. Andrews’ Kasuswa United Church of Zambia congregation in Mufulira.
He also encouraged churches to take advantage of the increased CDF by putting up proposals towards capital projects such as church buildings.
And St. Andrew’s United Church of Zambia Reverend in Charge JOSEPH SIMUYI called for unity of purpose to foster social, spiritual and economic development.
Rev. SUMUYI noted that the much needed development cannot be achieved in an environment where division takes center stage.
