FIFA Orders FAZ to Reconvene AGM

The World Football Governing Body-FIFA- has advised that the Football Association of Zambia-FAZ- to reconvene the Elective Annual General Meeting within the next 21 days.

In a letter to the Football Association of Zambia, FiFA said in accordance with article 21 of the FAZ constitution, the AGM should be held latest before May 10, 2025 in Lusaka or nearby.

FIFA Chief Member Associations Officer, ELKHAN MAMMADOV has since disclosed that representatives for the reconvened AGM will be sent as they did in Livingstone to ensure that the business is conducted smoothly.

MAMMADOV further said that the infringement of the aforementioned provisions of the FIFA Statutes may give rise to grounds for the suspension of FAZ.

And FAZ General Secretary REUBEN KAMANGA said the next process will be to issue the notice for the AGM.
