Govt to clear debts owed to Public Universities

Education Minister DOUGLAS SYAKALIMA has disclosed that government will soon release funds to dismantle debts owed to the public Universities.
Mr .SYAKALIMA has named the beneficiaries as University of ZAMBIA, Copperbelt University, MUKUBA University, KAPASA MAKASA University and KWAME NKRUMAH University.
He says government has taken concrete steps to liquidate the debts owed to public Universities.
Mr. SYAKALIMA says government between 2021 to 2022 released 300 million KWACHA toward dismantling the UNZA debts.
He said this in his address to the media in LUSAKA today.
