Govt to evacuate KAMBWILI to Lusaka
(ZANIS) Government is evacuating former Information Minister, CHISHIMBA KAMBWILI, to Lusaka for continued medical attention.
Northern Province Permanent Secretary BERNARD MPUNDU who confirmed the development to ZANIS in Kasama says preparations for his evacuation are going on at Kasama General Hospital.
Speaking when he visited Mr. KAMBWILI at Kasama General Hospital, Mr. MPUNDU said the Zambia Flying Doctors Service would handle the evacuation.
Mr. MPUNDU also expressed his condolences to Mr. KAMBWILI over the passing away of his two brothers.
And Kasama General Hospital acting Medical Superintendent JAMES NGWENYA, described Mr. KAMBWILI’s condition as stable.
He said Mr. KAMBWILI sustained minor injuries and soft tissue damage.
Meanwhile, Patriotic Front Provincial Chairperson, CHOMBA CHIPILI has thanked the government for the support provided.
Mr. KAMBWILI was yesterday involved in a fatal road accident which claimed two of his brothers on the spot.
