
Hauptle happy Copper Queens understand her playing philosophy

The Copper Queens have finished third at the 2025 Yongchuan International tournament in China.
The team beat Uzbekistan 4-3 to record their only victory at the tournament.
Zambia found the back of the net through Ireen Lungu in the 24th minute, before Under-17 Captain, Mercy Chipasula got the second goal in the 26th minute.
Ruth Mukoma was also on the score sheet with a 46th minute goal while Kabange Mupopo scored the 4th in the 73rd minute.
Uzbekistan on the other hand got goals from Feruza Turdiboeva in the 51st minute and a brace from Diyorakhon Khabibullaeva in stoppage time.
And Copper Queens Coach, Nora Hauptle says the game was very nervy as the team almost gave away their lead.
Hauptle says she is happy that the team is now starting to understand the playing philosophy.
She says team will needs to play two or more friendly games before the start of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations -WAFCON- tournament.
