
HH Witnesses Ndaitwah’s Inauguration

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA was among Heads of State and Government that attended NAMIBIA’s 35th Independence ceremony and the inauguration of its fifth President NETUMBO NANDI-NDAITWAH.
Dr. NANDI NDAITWAH has been sworn-in as Namibia’s fifth President.
Dr. NANDI-NDAITWAH has also been conferred with the highest National order of the welwitshcia mirabilis.
In her inaugural speech, President NANDI NDAITWAH pledged to continue where all her predecessors left in a bid to maintain peace, stability and social economic development.
Dr. NANDI NDAITWAH has also pledged to work with all the institutions in her country to uphold the legacy of the former leaders as she steers the wellbeing of all Namibians.
Meanwhile, Tanzania’s President SAMIA SULUHU-HASSAN who officiated at the inauguration and independence celebration congratulated Nambia.
Dr SULUHU -HASSAN thanked the people of Namibia for voting for a female President which has re-written the country’s history.
She said the resounding victory of Dr. NANDI-NDAITWAH is not only a remarkable journey to Africa’s democracy, but also highlights the potential of women in politics.
Meanwhile, Namibia’s Fourth President NANGOLO MBUMBA in his farewell message thanked the Namibian people for the support given to him during his tenure of office.
Dr. MBUMBA has also wished President NANDI-NDAITWAH well.
