The Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) is set to implement a one-billion US-dollar plan with the commissioning of 24 projects by the year 2033.
IDC Chief Executive Officer, Cornwell Muleya, says the commissioned projects will create 40,000 direct jobs through priority sectors.
Speaking during a media engagement cocktail in Lusaka last evening, Mr. Muleya said the corporation is also planning to implement six green projects by the year 2033.
Mr. Muleya further explained that the recent Memorandum of Understanding with Mecuria will see the IDC starting international mineral trading.
He assured that IDC will also continue to implement solar energy projects to enhance the energy security of the nation.
Mr. Muleya said the corporation will also continue working with the men and women in uniform to boost Zambia’s agriculture sector.
