Kamanga challenges Provincial leaders to strive for financial Independence
By Mike Mwendachabe
Football Association of Zambia -FAZ- President ANDREW KAMANGA has challenged provincial leaders to strive for financial independence.
Speaking at the Lusaka Province Elective Annual General Meeting -AGM-, KAMANGA encouraged leaders to adopt a model that would enable provinces to financially stand on their own , rather than relying on the national office.
KAMANGA is excited about the positive energy surrounding the event, citing the attractiveness of the Zambian football leadership brand.
He says decentralisation has not just created office space for members but created opportunities for young girls and boys seeking a future in the game.
KAMANGA also noted growth of football academies, aiming to incorporate talented youth into national structures.
And National Sports Council of Zambia -NSCZ- Chief Executive Officer NSOBWA MUSUNSA, says the council does not recognize anyone as part of the FAZ executive, as their tenure expired on February 28, 2025.
MUSUNSA has since advised counselors to usher in leaders who respect the -NSCZ- Act, FAZ constitution, and FIFA statutes.
