Kawana salutes Rotary Club works

Ministry of Information and Media Permanent Secretary THABO KAWANA has commended Rotary clubs across the country for supplementing the government’s efforts in various sectors, such as health and education.
Mr. KAWANA noted Rotary clubs community services which include the recently launched Rotary Family Health Days, aimed at supplementing the government’s efforts by taking health services to people’s doorsteps.
He says the government acknowledges the support rendered to the University Teaching Hospital through a donation of specialized equipment, among other works.
Mr KAWANA was speaking in Lusaka during the installation ceremony of NALIN BANDA as president of the Rotary Club of Lusaka Metro yesterday.
Ms. BANDA revealed plans to strengthen the club’s commitment to environmental protection, climate change, and sustainability with the support of the club.
