Disclosing the development at a press briefing, KCM Chief Corporate Affairs Officer John Kunda said KCM’s substantial investment underscores its commitment to promoting sports development and community engagement.
Proceeds from the marathon will go towards charity as well as the renovation of the Nchanga Golf Club.
Nchanga Golf Club President Michelle Kazala said the 2025 KCM Marathon promises to be an exciting event, showcasing the country’s athletic talent and fostering a sense of community among participants and spectators alike.
Chingola Mayor Johnson Kang’ombe challenged the organizing committee for the marathon to consider extending invitations to Chinese mining firms operating in Chingola for more sponsorship.
