Lameck Banda ruled out for Ivory Coast game

Chipolopolo winger LAMECK BANDA has been ruled out of Friday’s final round of the AfCON qualifiers due to injury.
BANDA, who sustained an injury while playing for his club Lecce in the Italian Serie A will not feature for the team in the upcoming back-to-back AFCON qualifiers against Ivory Coast and Sierra Leone.
Football Association of Zambia -FAZ- Communications Manager SYDNEY MUNGALA has confirmed the development to ZNBC Sports News, stating that the player who is currently in the country has been assessed and declared not fit to play.
MUNGALA has also disclosed that KINGSTONE MUTANDWA is also expected to miss the two games due to injury.
He says apart from BENSON SAKALA who is in transit, Chipolopolo Coach AVRAM GRANT has all the players that were summoned for the final phase of the AfCON qualifiers.
MUNGALA further says GRANT has extended a call up to the national team to Mutondo Stars Player JACKSON KAMPAMBA to beef up the numbers.
The Chipolopolo will face the Elephants of Ivory Coast and current AfCON holders on Friday at 18:00 hours in a must-win Group G encounter.
