Njama ward by-elections contestants told to address water challenges

(ZANIS) The Chipepo traditional leadership has asked the person who will carry the day in the Njame ward by-election to address the issue of water challenges in the area.

ALACHONI KAPUTULA, who is Headman Muzyibane, believes only a leader that will work with government will be able to address community challenges.

Meanwhile, UPND National Spokesperson CORNELIUS MWEETWA and Chirundu member of Parliament DOUGLAS SYAKALIMA have appreciated people of Njame ward for conducting peaceful campaigns adding that they are hopeful of carrying the day.

The two were speaking in Njame ward during the last political meeting before campaign period closed.

The Njame local government By-election is being contested by three candidates.

UPND fielding WEBSTER CHIYOTA, JOSAM MOONGA is standing on the Socialist Party ticket while WILLARD MWEENE is standing as independent.
