No FIFA Ban Risk for Zambia – NKANDU
By Mike Mwendachabe
Youth, Sport and Arts Minister, ELVIS NKANDU says government has not interfered with the Football Association of Zambia- FAZ- operations.
NKANDU says government is only helping the association to stick to its own rules.
He told ZNBC News that the country will not face a FIFA ban, despite concerns over the FAZ election process.
According to the FAZ constitution, elections were supposed to be held on February 28, but the government allowed the association to postpone to March 29, despite the expiration of term for office bearers.
The Minister said the government is following the association’s roadmap, and will only come in to help when called upon to ensure a credible election.
