Olympics :Copper Queens to play USA

The Copper Queens will tonight face the United States of America in the opening Group B encounter at the 2024 Paris Olympic games.

It will be the first time that both teams will be meeting as they target to get their Olympic campaign on a bright note.

With all odds against the Copper Queens, the BRUCE MWAPE-coached side will be hoping to pull the biggest surprise.

And Sports Minister, ELVIS NKANDU has urged the team not to be intimated by their opponent.

NKANDU told ZNBC sports that the players should aim to collect their first three points as that will help ease pressure from going into other fixtures.

Meanwhile, US team Coach, EMMA HAYES said her team has been preparing for the Olympics for a long time.

HAYES has cited Copper Queens Captain, BARBARA BANDA, as the most dangerous player in the Zambian team.
