Probe into illegal distribution of health kits launched

Investigations have been launched into an incident where a Zambia Medicines and Medical Suppliers Agency -ZAMMSA- distribution truck, was spotted off-loading health kits in Kanyama Compound.

Health Minister ELIJAH MUCHIMA says the incident happened on September 17th, 2024.

Dr MUCHIMA said this when he made an impromptu visit to ZAMMSA Officers accompanied by Permanent Secretary Technical Services KENNEDY LISHIMPI and other officials today.

He noted that the videos captured by members of the public show the seals on the health kits are that of ZAMMSA.

Meanwhile, ZAMMSA Senior Manager Corporate Communications BRADLEY CHINGOBE said management will find out the people behind the distribution.
