Red Arrows win CECAFA Cup
Zambia’s Football Champions RED ARROWS has won the CECAFA Kagame Club Cup after beating APR of Rwanda 10-9 on penalties following a one all stalemate in 120 minutes of play.
This was in the final of the tournament where the Air Men were featured as guest team.
After a decimal show down at the just ended COSAFA cup, where Zambia registered three losses without scoring a goal, Arrows Coach CHISI MBEWE who was in-charge of the Chipolopolo then, ensured history does not repeat itself as his side took the lead just after 61st minute.
But their opponents equalised with seconds to go after 90th minute.
Red Arrows is the first Zambian Football Club to win the CECAFA Kagame Cup and have pocketed home a whopping 30,000 United States dollars.
