Squash: Zambia wins gold at Uhuru Championship
By Jack Ng’uni
Zambia’s Squash National Champion Manda Chilambwe has won gold at the East Africa Uhuru Championship in Tanzania.
Chilambwe, who is also a Zambia National Correctional Service player, becomes the first Zambian to win the squash tournament.
Chilambwe’s victory comes just weeks after helping the national team secure silver at the African Squash Championship held in Namibia.
Chilambwe told ZNBC Sports that he faced challenges adapting to the weather and described his win as a significant achievement for both himself and the country.
