Tanzania’s Deputy Solicitor General in Zambia
By Blessings Chibuye
Solicitor General MARSHALL MUCHENDE says it is encouraging that other countries are increasingly looking to Zambia for inspiration in judicial practices and independence.
Mr. MUCHENDE said this when Tanzania’s Deputy Solicitor General ALICE MTULO paid a courtesy call at his office.
He said Ms. MTULO’s visit will provide valuable insight into Zambia’s court system and judicial independence highlighting practices that have made Zambia’s judiciary both efficient and responsive to the public.
And Ms. MTULO said Zambia’s effective handling of domestic and international cases was the primary reason they chose the country as a model for their study.
She said her team is particularly interested in learning how Zambia manages international disputes, which will aid Tanzania in refining its own judicial processes.
