TAZAMA Open Access Framework Under Review

Government has initiated a review of the guidelines governing the #TAZAMA pipeline Open Access Framework.

The move is aimed at enhancing the framework by incorporating operational insights gathered since its implementation on April 1, 2025, following the issuance of the initial guidelines in December 2024.

Energy Permanent Secretary PETER MUMBA says the review is being undertaken with utmost transparency and accountability.

Mr. MUMBA told #ZNBC News that the ministry is open to consultations and is calling on interested parties to have an input in the review process.

He said the open Access Framework was introduced to promote liberalisation and improve efficiency in Zambia petroleum transportation system by enabling third party access to the #TAZAMA pipeline infrastructure.
