Time Tracking fined for not drafting written contracts
Government is developing a Labour Information Management System that will enable it to gather information on employers and employees in industries.
Labour and Social Security Services Minister, BRENDA TAMBATAMBA says the new system, which is expected to be operational by the end of this year, will provide a basis for assessing the compliance level for all players in the industry.
Ms TAMBATAMBA said this when she held a meeting with Time Trucking Management in Lusaka’s Makeni area.
And, Labour Commissioner GIVEN MUNTENGWA gave the company a 40,000 Kwacha fine for not putting the workers’ contracts in writing.
Meanwhile, Time Trucking Chief Executive Officer UMESHI PATEL promised to comply with the country’s labour laws.
