U17 COSAFA GIRLS: Zambia through to the final

Zambia has qualified to the finals of the 2024 COSAFA U17 Girls Championship after an impressive 3- Nil victory over Madagascar.

The dominant performance by the Copper Princesses was fueled by goals from Hellen Banda in the 12th minute, Grace Phiri in the 33rd minute, and Mercy Chipasula, who sealed the victory in the 79th minute.

The win marks Zambia’s fourth consecutive qualification for the tournament’s final, showcasing the team’s consistency and determination on the regional stage.

The Copper Princesses will now await the winner of the semi-final clash between Mozambique and Lesotho, for the final set to take place on Friday.

Zambia will be looking to defend their title and continue their remarkable run in the COSAFA U17 Girls Championship.
