
U18 girls’ team Invited to an 8-nation tournament in Turkey-Kamanga

FAZ President Andrew Kamanga has expressed the association’s unwavering confidence in Zambia’s national football teams as they gear up for key international assignments.
Kamanga highlighted the Copper Princesses’ remarkable progress in the FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers, noting that the team is just one round away from securing their spot in the Morocco 2025 World Cup. This follows an impressive 4-0 aggregate victory over Tanzania’s Serengeti Girls.
He also announced that Zambia’s Under-18 girls’ team has been invited to an 8-nation tournament in Turkey, taking place from March 29 to April 10, 2025. The tournament will provide valuable international exposure for the young players.
The Copper Queens are intensifying preparations for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), with two international friendlies against China scheduled for April 5 and 8, 2025.
Meanwhile, Kamanga revealed that the Under-17 and Under-20 boys’ teams are currently in camp, preparing for their respective Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
On the senior men’s side, the Chipolopolo will face Russia in an international friendly in Moscow on March 25, 2025.
