By Mark Ziligone
University of China Dean of Communication, ZHANG HONGSHENG has urged Zambia to establish its own independent cyber system.
Professor ZHANG explains that this will enable the country to stop relying on foreign platforms.
He adds that cyberspace is an integral part of national sovereignty and must be safeguarded against misuse.
Professor ZHANG was speaking during a presentation on online management to a UPND delegation led by Secretary General BATUKE IMENDA at the International Department of the Communist Party of China in Beijing.
And UPND Deputy Chairperson for Elections and Strategy LIKANDO MUFALALI said there is urgent need for Zambia to protect its national and economic security against cyber abuse.
Mr. MUFALALI explained that failure to do so has the potential to derail and undermine the stability and peace of the country.
