UPND women donate to Matero After Care

The UPND women’s mobilization team – has donated assorted items to Matero After Care Centre.
UPND Deputy Secretary General GATRUDE IMENDA says the donation is part of the party’s Independence celebrations.
Speaking to ZNBC News at Matero after Care Centre, Ms. IMENDA said the donation is a commitment to ensuring that the recipients live in comfort.
She said senior citizens at the center need to be supported because they carry lifetime stories, knowledge and values.
Meanwhile, UPND’s Women’s Mobilization Team Vice Chairperson NCHIMUNYA CHIMBULU said the party has undertaken similar activities at Chainama Hills Hospital and other places.
And Matero after Care Centre Officer in Charge REGINA PHIRI has expressed happiness with the donated items adding that they will go a long way in assisting the senior citizens.
