Voting in Chidi Ward underway

Voting in the CHIDI Ward by-election in Mapatizya Constituency in Zimba district is underway.
At Simukanda Polling Station, Presiding Officer, ERNEST MILIMO declared the polls officially open at 06:00 hours, with over thirty voters in the queue.
Three candidates are taking part in the by-election.
The Leadership Movement is fielding GEVERS SIALWIINDI while TONKA MAPULANGA is standing for the Socialist Party and UPND is fielding IVAN SEEMANI.
The CHIDI Ward by-election was necessitated by the demise of area councillor, ABSON SEKELETI in July this year.
