ZA elections to be held in April
By Chansa Kunda
The postponed Zambia Athletics -ZA-elections will be held in the next four weeks.
National Sports Council of Zambia -NSCZ- Director SOMBWA MUSUNSA says the duration will provide room for elections to be held in a credible manner.
MUSUNSA however says a stakeholders meeting will be held with the former executive and the councillors to formulate a roadmap.
He says the roadmap will be shared with the public in due course.
Speaking to ZNBC Sports News, MUSUNSA said what transpired at last week’s elective meeting was unacceptable.
He has further emphasised that the council will not tolerate situations where people who are eligible to contest are barred from standing.
And -ZA-aspiring -presidential candidates KENNEDY MUBANGA and Major BERNARD BWALYA are calling for transparency and the full list of the Electoral College to be available before the elections are held.
And the other aspiring candidate DAVISON MUNG’AMBATA was not reachable for a comment as his phone went unanswered.
