Zambia Athletics elections set for the April 12,2025.

Zambia Athletics -ZA- elections have been set for the April 12th 2025.

This follows a stakeholders meeting held by the Ministry of Youth Sport and Arts to address critical concerns and chart the way forward following the cancellation of elections last month.

The meeting held in Lusaka yesterday and chaired by Sports Minister ELVIS NKANDU resolved that elections be held on April 12th and that Government will give delegates logistical support.

Other resolutions include providing the Electoral College and engaging the Electoral Commission of Zambia -ECZ- to conduct the elections.

The National Sports Council of Zambia will further collaborate with the ZA Secretariat to facilitate the hosting of elections.

Among the stakeholders that attended the meeting where former- ZA- Executive Committee members, and aspiring candidates, Permanent Secretary for Youth and Sport, KANGWA CHILESHE, the Permanent Secretary for Arts, FUMBA CHAMA and NSCZ CEO SOMBWA MUSUNSA, and senior ministry officials.
