Zambia beat Chad in AFCON Qualifier match
By Chansa Kunda
Zambia have picked up their second win of the 2025 AFCON qualifiers after beating Chad 1-nil this afternoon.
Striker KENNEDY MUSONDA scored the game’s lone goal in the 70th minute to grant the Chipolopolo their second three points of the 2025 Morocco AFCON qualifier campaign.
The Chipolopolo enjoyed the larger chunk of possession missing clear chances to score in the first half.
OBINO CHISALA and BENSON SAKALA are among those who missed clear cut chances.
The Chipolopolo’s lead was however threatened as Defender KABASO CHONGO tripped a Chad player forcing the referee to point to the penalty spot.
Chipolopolo goalkeeper TOASTER NSABATA stepped up to deny MARIUS MOUANDILMADJI’s spot kick.
One nil was the score line that made the Chipolopolo to take their point tally to seven in four games.
The Chipolopolo boys now only need two points to qualify for the 2025 Morocco AFCON tournament.
