
Zambia to Host Investment Conference

Zambia will host an international investment conference aimed at attracting two billion U.S dollars in investment.
Zambia Development Agency -ZDA- Director General, ALBERT HALWAMPA says the Invest Zambia International Conference is designed to maximize the country’s investment opportunities, leveraging on strong policies and leadership.
Speaking to ZNBC News after a closed-door meeting with ZNBC Director General, BERRY LWANDO, Dr. HALWAMPA said the event will also serve as a platform for signing investment deals that will create employment opportunities.
He noted that this initiative will help boost the country’s Gross Domestic Product -GDP.
Dr. HALWAMPA added that the conference will provide a networking platform for investors, the Government, and other stakeholders.
He says the conference will attract participants from key sectors such as energy, mining, and agriculture, among others.
Dr HALWAMPA further says ZDA has partnered with the Public Service Broadcaster, ZNBC, to provide weekly updates on investment progress and job creation.
