Zambia U-16 Girls Basketball Team Prepares for Region 5 Games
The Zambia Under-16 Girls Basketball team is gearing up for the upcoming Region 5 Games in Namibia.
Head coach Noah Mabutwe says the tryouts are aimed at identifying players who possess a solid understanding of basketball basics.
Speaking to ZNBC Sports, Mabutwe emphasized that the process is designed to select 16 talented players who will represent the nation at the tournament.
He said this is an excellent opportunity for young female players to demonstrate their abilities and talents, noting that the final team will be selected after tryouts are conducted in various provinces across the country.
Meanwhile, Amina Kayombo, one of the participants, has shared her enthusiasm for the training sessions.
Another participant, Mwaka Kaloba, has described the tryouts as both challenging and rewarding.
