By Chansa Kunda
The Zambia Under-17 football team has set a target of making history by qualifying for the World Cup twice.
Having taken part in the 2024 Dominican Republic showpiece, the Carol Kanyemba-coached side is eyeing another appearance at the Morocco edition this year.
Speaking during a training session in Lusaka today, Kanyemba said the team has so far been making progress in training as they prepare for next month’s qualifiers against Tanzania.
She said the players are adapting well and will be ready for the World Cup qualifiers fixture.
Kanyemba said the team has been further motivated by the inclusion of Mercy Chipasula in the Copper Queens squad.
