ZED Mobile launched in Kitwe

Technology and Science Minister FELIX MUTATI says the launch of a fourth mobile operator is evidence of the power of partnership between government and the private sector.

Mr. MUTATI says the investment and expansion program of around 400 million dollars by ZED Mobile  shows courage and imagination by an  indigenous mobile company.

Speaking during the launch of ZED Mobile in Kitwe last night, Mr. MUTATI said the mobile company will assist the government in the implementation of the Farmer Input Support program and social cash transfer using its mobile service platform.

And Copperbelt Minister ELISHA MATAMBO assured Zed mobile that the government will continue to support and promote local enterprises that are committed to improving the lives of Zambians.

Meanwhile, Zed Mobile Managing Director CHISANGA KAZIYA said the expansion of services to the Copperbelt and North Western provinces, reaffirms the company’s ability to bring reliable connectivity to every corner of the country.
