ZESCO installs 2 generators at ZNS allied milling plants

ZESCO has installed two generators at Zambia National Service -ZNS – allied milling plants to help the company continue producing mealie meal amid the energy deficit.
Zambia National Service -ZNS- Chief of Marketing and Public Relations MULENGA NYONE says the two milling plants that have been connected to the generators are superior.
Brigadier General NYONE however says the service is still engaging ZESCO to improve the power supply hours to its milling plants to enable ZNS to increase its mealie meal production.
Brigadier General NYONE said this in an interview with ZNBC News in Lusaka.
She says currently the service is working with its 29 allied milling plants but noted that they are grappling with electricity which has led to lower production of mealie meal.
Brig General NYONE says before the energy crisis, the service working with 29 milling plants would produce about 94,000 by 25 kilograms bags of mealie meal per day.
