ZESCO United Maintains Grip on the MTN Super League Summit

ZESCO United has maintained their grip on top spot in the MTN Super League after a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Red Arrows at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

Pasco Phiri’s 54th-minute goal was enough to secure the three points for the league leaders.

The win takes ZESCO United to 46 points, with Kabwe Warriors and Power Dynamos trailing behind with 44 and 42 points respectively.

Kabwe Warriors kept the pressure on ZESCO United with a narrow 1-0 victory over struggling Zanaco.

The Bankers’ woes continued as they were reduced to 10 men, making it even harder to fight back.

NAPSA Stars also secured a crucial win, edging past Mufulira Wanderers with a solitary goal in the 8th minute. The Pensioners’ win has motivated the team, especially after playing against a strong side.

Power Dynamos secured a 2-0 victory over Atletico Lusaka, a result that has given them a much-needed boost in the title chase.

In other matches, Mutondo Stars defeated Indeni 2-1, while Lumwana Radiants and Forest Rangers played out a 1-1 draw. MUZA suffered a 1-0 loss to Green Buffaloes, and Nkwazi edged Nchanga Rangers 2-1.
