African leaders have called for innovative and inclusive approaches to health financing and service delivery on the continent.
The leaders have also called for united action and development of new financing mechanisms to address the decline in Official Development Assistance (ODA).
South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa who is also Chair of the Global leaders Network- GLN says climate change, economic shocks and escalating conflict have reversed gains made in health and development.

President Ramaphosa says women and children are bearing a disproportionate burden.
And Botswana’s President Duma Boko who is also Chair of African Leaders Malaria Alliance-ALMA has called for sustainable partnership with the private sector in advancing quality healthcare.

Heads of State and world leaders convened for a landmark event titled Uniting for Global Health Security, jointly hosted by the Global Leaders Network for Women’s, Children and Adolescents’ Health and African Leaders Malaria Alliance.
