Zambia National Squash Team Heads to Uganda for Africa Championship

The Zambia National Squash Team has traveled to Uganda to participate in the 2025 Africa Squash Championship.

The team comprises 12 players—six male and six female—accompanied by technical staff, and is led by Captain Manda Chilambwe.

Speaking to ZNBC News before departure, National Team Coach Paul Chanda said the squad has been in intensive training for over four months, with the goal of reaching the finals and winning the competition.

Captain Chilambwe expressed determination, noting that after losing to Nigeria in last year’s finals, the team is motivated to replicate its strong performance and secure gold this time.

Meanwhile, Squash Association of Zambia President Felix Chilufya said the team is ready to take on the continent and thanked government for its support in making the trip possible.
