The Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) Bill No. 28 of 2025 and the Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA) Bill No. 27 of 2025 will be tabled for Third Reading on Thursday, December 4, 2025.
At this stage, the Bills are reviewed in their final form, with no further debate permitted.
Earlier today, Parliament adopted the Report of the Committee on Media, Information and Communication Technologies for both Bills. The adoption followed their successful passage through the Second Reading and Committee stages.
Minister of Information and Media, Cornelius Mweetwa, presented the Reports on the floor of the House, noting that no notices of further amendments had been received. He proposed that the Committee’s Reports be adopted, paving the way for the Bills to proceed to the final stage.
