All hope is not lost-Bruce Mwape
By Chansa Kunda
Copper Queens Coach BRUCE MWAPE says all hope is not lost as the team still has a chance of qualifying to the knockout stage of the 2024 Paris Olympic games.
This is despite the Copper Queens losing 6-5 to Australia at the Nice Stadium last evening.
And, MWAPE says provided his charges beat Germany and obtain three points they might be contenders for qualification as the best third best finishers in the group stage.
He says it was unfortunate that the team gave away a comfortable lead adding that a lot of factors led to them failing to win their first Olympics game.
The coach says going forward the plan will be to stop Germany at all costs and win their final group game.
MWAPE has further hailed Striker BARBARA BANDA for scoring her third hat trick at an Olympics competition.
And Striker RACHEAL KUNDANANJI says it was disappointing to give away a healthy lead and lose a game that was almost won.
KUNDANANJI told ZNBC News that the loss of confidence also affected the team and lead to the defeat.
