AVRAM GRANT names 24-man squad for AFCON

Chipolopolo Coach AVRAM GRANT has named a 24 member Provisional Squad ahead of the final phase of the 2025 AFCON Qualifiers fixtures against Ivory Coast and Sierra Leone.

The team will be missing key players with six ruled out due to injuries among them Captain LUBAMBO MUSONDA, defender MIGUEL CHAIWA, Midfielder EDWARD CHILUFYA and striker PATSON DAKA.

Speaking when unveiling the Squad in Lusaka today, GRANT said the target is to ensure that Zambia qualifies for the AFCON tournament.

He said playing Ivory Coast at home will not be easy, but that the team will be poised to get a good result and will not be under pressure.

GRANT has challenged the team to do everything possible to win the Ivory Coast game.
