The Zambia Medical Association-ZMA has commended the Civil Service Commission for sticking to the database created during the previous recruitment of health workers.
ZMA Secretary General OLIVER KAOMA says it is important to adopt a first-come, first-serve basis to prioritize employment for those who graduated earlier.
Speaking to ZNBC News in an interview, Dr. KAOMA said there is need for transparency in the recruitment process to prevent potential biases and ensure equal opportunities for all qualified candidates.
The Civil Service Commission recently announced that it has started the recruitment of four thousand health workers based on 43,000 applications that were left out in the 2023 recruitment process.
