Nkana Targets Top Ten as Eagles Eye Top Five

Week 25 of the MTN Super League gets underway this afternoon with two fixtures scheduled for 15:00 hours in Copperbelt and Central Province as teams continue their fight for crucial points.

In Kitwe, Nkana FC will host Green Eagles FC at Nkana Stadium.

Nkana, currently 11th on the table with 29 points, will be aiming to use home advantage to push into the top ten, while 7th-placed Green Eagles, with 35 points, will be targeting an away victory that could move them closer to the top five.

Speaking ahead of the match, Nkana interim coach Elijah Tana said his side is aware of the challenge posed by Green Eagles but remains confident of delivering a strong performance at home. He also urged fans to turn up in numbers, noting that the players are determined to work hard and secure a win.

Meanwhile, Green Eagles head coach Perry Mutapa stated that his team has prepared well for the fixture. He acknowledged the difficulty of the match but emphasized that his players are focused on working hard to collect maximum points away from home.

In Central Province, bottom-placed FC Leopards will host second-placed Red Arrows FC at President Stadium.
