President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA

Association General Secretary ABEL SILUNGWE says this will be achieved through advocating for supportive policies, building partnerships and ensuring film-makers have a conducive platform to thrive both locally and internationally.

Mr. SILUNGWE was speaking at the launch of ‘A Boy Who Became President’, a film based on the true story of Republican President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA.

He said the film speaks to the heart of the Zambian people and aligns with the vision of the Association.

Mr. SILUNGWE said the movie serves as a reminder that true leadership is shaped not by privilege or circumstance, but by values, vision and character.

Meanwhile, Film Producer ALBERT MUTEBA said production of the movie will begin next week and is expected to be completed by April 2026.

Mr. MUTEBA said the film is estimated to cost about one hundred thousand US dollars, and has appealed to stakeholders to come on board to support the production.

And in a speech read on his behalf by MAGAMA MUDEMBA, Film Executive Producer TABUDA MUDEMBA said the movie is not a political tool, but a film intended to inspire all sections of society.
