Two brothers aged 10 and 8 have drowned in a man-made dam at Mwamba’s Farm in Chapu area, Chisamba District, Central Province.
The incident occurred on Monday, December 22, 2025, around 10:00 hours.
Central Province Police Commanding Officer Yobe Luhana identified the deceased as Fred Lumbama and Titus Lumbama,10.
Mr. Luhana explained that Titus drowned while attempting to rescue Fred, as the two were swimming in the company of three other juveniles.
He added that the boys’ bodies have since been retrieved.
