1991 World 400m Hurdles Champion Samuel Matete has been elected Chairperson for the Zambia Athletics Copperbelt Area Board.
Matete, who went unopposed, accepted the new role and thanked clubs for supporting his candidature.
In Lusaka, Anthony Kamanda has also been elected Province Area Board Chairperson, saying he is thrilled and ready to take on the top job.
All elected Chairpersons will serve a two-year mandate.
Zambia Athletics President Major Bernard Bwalya said his executive will work closely with all the newly elected provincial leaders to strengthen athletics structures across the country.
