Chingola Resources, formerly known as Senseli, has deposited four million United States dollars for small-scale miners, a move that will see operations cease at the open pit mine in Chingola.

Mines Minister PAUL KABUSWE says 4,000 small-scale miners are set to benefit from the four million dollars paid by Chingola Resources.
Addressing the miners at Chingola Council, Mr. KABUSWE said the funds were deposited into the bank earlier this week and are now ready for distribution among the beneficiaries.

Meanwhile, Steering Committee Chairperson appointed to resolve issues between the open pit owners and the small-scale miners, Bishop JOSEPH KAZHILA, thanked President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA for supporting miners in Chingola.
And UPND Vice Provincial Chairperson JESTOPHER KOLALA urged the small-scale miners to make prudent use of the funds.
Mr. KOLALA also appealed to the miners to respect President HICHILEMA, whose aim, he said, is to ensure their safety and long-term financial stability.
