Tourism Minister RODNEY SIKUMBA has urged tour operators in Livingstone to fully monetise the Zambezi River by introducing round-the-clock boat cruise experiences.

Mr. SIKUMBA says leaving boats idle during the day and restricting cruises to sunset trips alone represents a missed economic opportunity.

He has commended the Radisson Blu Mosi-Oa-Tunya Livingstone Resort for taking the lead by introducing lunchtime boat cruises.
Mr. SIKUMBA says the initiative fits within the UPND government’s frontier-breaking development agenda.
The Minister was speaking at the pre-launch of the resort’s lunchtime boat cruise experience.
Meanwhile, Radisson Blu Mosi-Oa-Tunya Livingstone Resort General Manager PETER TICHY said 2026 is expected to be a positive year for Zambia’s tourism industry, despite the country heading into a general election in August.
In an interview with ZNBC News, Mr. TICHY, who has been in Livingstone for three months, described the tourist capital as a must-visit destination.
