The Zambia Public Procurement Authority –ZPPA- has suspended City Arid Drilling and Earth Movers Limited and Wave Tech Innovations from participating in public procurement.
City Arid Drilling and Earth Movers Limited has been suspended for one year, effective December 16, 2025, for submitting a National Council for Construction certificate that was not genuine.
Wave Tech Innovations has been suspended for failing to meet contractual obligations in the supply and delivery of networking equipment to the Copperbelt University.
ZPPA Director General GLORIA NGOMA says the authority conducted 18 investigations in the fourth quarter of 2025, concluding 13, while five remained ongoing as of 31 December 2025.
Ms NGOMA says most cases involved the submission of non-genuine documents during the procurement process, as well as non-performance or underperformance of contractual obligations.
She was speaking during a media briefing in Lusaka today.
Ms. NGOMA also said ZPPA considered 26 appeals from aggrieved bidders, concluding 20, with six still under review as of 31 December 2025.
She added that compliance assessments were carried out in 19 procuring entities, with four found compliant, seven substantially compliant, five fairly compliant and three non-compliant.
