President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has thanked the people of Kasama for supporting the UPND by voting BYWELL SIMPOSYA as Mayor.

The President says the outcome reflects the trust and confidence the people of Kasama have in the UPND Government.

He conveyed the message through his Special Assistant for Political Affairs, LEVY NGOMA, when he addressed the community.

He said the Government will continue supporting farmers to enable increased grain production during the 2026–2027 farming season.

Meanwhile, UPND Campaign Manager CHIPOKA MULENGA expressed gratitude to the people of Kasama for backing the party’s candidate in the by-election.

Mr. MULENGA called on residents to support Mr. SIMPOSYA in his new role and urged the Mayor to make full use of the initiatives put in place by Government.

UPND Deputy Spokesperson ELVIS NKANDU also thanked the community and appealed to residents to extend the same support to the UPND in the 2026 General Election.

In addition, campaign team member PAUL KABUSWE encouraged residents to form cooperatives to benefit more effectively from the mining sector.
