Special Assistant to the President for Political Affairs Levy Ngoma says government’s resolve to make the free education policy a law is aimed at guaranteeing sustained funding and implementation.
Mr. Ngoma explained that formalizing the policy will ensure free education becomes a permanent right for every child in Zambia, regardless of background or financial status.
Speaking during a series of meetings in Muchinda Ward of Serenje District, Mr. Ngoma said President Hakainde Hichilema is deliberate about prioritizing education because it is the cornerstone of national development and social transformation.
He noted that since the introduction of free education, school enrollment numbers have risen to over 2.2 million children, significantly expanding access to learning opportunities, especially for vulnerable families.
