The Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA) has connected 200 schools across the country to internet services.

ZICTA Director General Collins Mbulo said the initiative was implemented under the Universal Access and Service Fund, aimed at narrowing the gap between served and under‑served communities.

Mr. Mbulo made the remarks during a visit to Chinsali Day Secondary and Lubwa Primary Schools, where internet services have been installed.

He further explained that 37 schools in Muchinga Province have also been equipped with computers to enhance learners’ digital skills.

Chinsali Day Secondary School Head Teacher Chinyama Nang’andu said the provision of internet and computers has already improved literacy levels among learners.
